A distribution business in Dubai is seeking a commercially minded operations leader from contract logistics / 3PL / 4PL who is ready for a lifestyle upgrade. You will plan, direct and control the commercial, contractual and operational performance for an allocated client base within a distribution centre / contract logistics environment. The focus is on delivering customer KPIs and SLAs, improving operational efficiency, managing teams, and growing accounts through up-selling while staying fully compliant with internal standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Customer relationship management (CRM): Own key client relationships, handle escalations, and ensure requests are actioned in line with contract, SLAs and agreed service scope.
  • Operational efficiency: Design, implement and monitor SOPs and operational procedures; allocate labour, space, and equipment effectively.
  • Cost control: Reduce operational overheads in line with annual targets; drive continuous improvement and ROI.
  • People leadership: Recruit, develop, and performance-manage supervisors, operatives, and clerical staff.
  • Profitability / commercial control: Maintain client profitability; review and negotiate annual rates; lead commercial discussions and justify increases.
  • Up-selling / account growth: Build and execute an up-selling strategy to hit assigned sales targets (value-added services, scope expansion, contract extensions).
  • Contract & compliance: Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, contract terms, and governance across the operation.
  • Reporting: Provide senior management with weekly/monthly commercial and operational updates (performance, cost, service, risk, actions).
  • HSSE: Drive health & safety compliance and corrective actions.
  • Quality systems (QMS): Ensure quality management systems are followed and aligned to internal/external standards.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years’ experience in large-scale or complex warehousing / contract logistics operations.
  • Strong capability in commercial/contractual negotiation and customer stakeholder management.
  • Solid P&L / financial understanding (margin, cost control, rate reviews).
  • Confident people manager who can build accountability and performance.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Strong IT capability, including: In-depth understanding of standard WMS functionality and familiarity with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
