Business Analyst – e-Invoicing / Regulatory reporting

London - 4 days £550-600 p/d Inside ASAP Start

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support regulatory-driven initiatives focused on e-Invoicing and e-Reporting. This role will be responsible for analysing evolving regulatory requirements and translating them into clear business and functional specifications, ensuring compliant and effective implementation within a financial services environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors to deliver solutions aligned with regulatory obligations and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and interpret regulatory requirements relating to e-Invoicing and e-Reporting, including French and Dubai frameworks
  • Translate legal and compliance documentation into actionable business and functional requirements
  • Engage stakeholders to gather business needs and assess regulatory, data, and processing impacts
  • Define and document business processes, workflows, and data flows for B2B and B2G e-Invoicing and reporting
  • Collaborate with technology teams and vendors to design, document, and test compliant solutions
  • Ensure full traceability between regulatory requirements, business requirements, and technical specifications
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate solutions against requirements
  • Develop test strategies, test plans, and test cases; execute system and integration testing where required
  • Compile and present testing outcomes, status updates, and project documentation
  • Monitor regulatory updates and assess their impact on business processes and systems
  • Liaise with external platforms (e.g., PPF/PDP) where applicable
  • Identify and escalate project risks and issues to relevant stakeholders

Key Duties as a Business Analyst

  • Gather and document business requirements and produce formal Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Functional Specifications
  • Support the full project lifecycle from requirements through to delivery and testing
  • Present proposed solutions to stakeholders, including use of data-driven examples where relevant
  • Produce project status reports and contribute to project governance

Experience Required

  • 5+ years’ experience working as a Business Analyst within financial services, ideally on regulatory change projects
  • Strong experience analysing and interpreting regulatory requirements, including regulatory reporting
  • Experience working with third-party vendors to deliver integrated solutions
  • Proven track record across the full project lifecycle (requirements, design, testing, implementation)
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and working with senior management

Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to e-Invoicing or e-Reporting implementation programmes
  • Familiarity with e-Invoicing formats such as UBL, Factur-X, or XML
  • Understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes

  • Solid understanding of business analysis frameworks and methodologies
  • Knowledge of technology and software development lifecycles
