A leading Capital Markets business is seeking a hands‑on Business Analyst to support its Front Office regulatory controls function. This is a high‑visibility, fast‑paced role working directly with a senior stakeholder. The team is intentionally lean, so you will be expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, prioritise effectively under pressure, and deliver with minimal oversight.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with Front Office, COO, Risk, Compliance, and Technology teams
- Analyse and support the resolution of Front Office issues, including control breaches, trader incidents, electronic trading queries, and limit management
- Conduct process reviews and gap analyses to identify opportunities for control improvements
- Work directly with a senior subject matter expert to define problems and propose solutions, taking ownership of delivery
- Produce clear, structured analysis, documentation, and reporting to drive issues through to resolution
- Drive, enable and support the business by partnering with leaders, clients, and consultants across practices to identify opportunities, qualify solutions, and present them to senior stakeholders
Qualifications
- Proven Business Analyst experience within a Front Office (sales & trading) environment
- Direct exposure to regulatory or control‑related issues such as control breaches, trader incidents, electronic trading, and/or limits management
- Comfortable operating as the sole BA aligned to a desk, without a wider team for support
- Strong self‑management and prioritisation skills
- Ability to quickly grasp complex regulatory topics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders
- Experience within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 investment bank
- Familiarity with capital markets regulatory frameworks (e.g., MiFID II, electronic trading controls, market risk limits)
