We currently seek experienced and compassionate tutors to support KS4 learners across Essex, particularly Saffron Walden.

Impact You'll Make

Many of the pupils we support have experienced significant barriers to learning and may have lost confidence in education. Through consistent, personalised support, you'll help learners reconnect with learning, celebrate success, build resilience and achieve outcomes they may never have thought possible.

What You'll Do

  • Support learners who may have SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs), Autism/ADHD, Anxiety or emotionally based school avoidance (EBSNA), SEND needs, Gaps in education or disrupted learning experiences.
  • Deliver engaging and personalised face‑to‑face or online sessions tailored to each learner's needs. Subjects may include English, Maths, Science and Functional Skills.
  • Adapt learning to support each student's academic progress while helping them re‑engage with education and achieve positive educational outcomes.

About You

  • Skilled at building positive relationships with children and young people.
  • Patient, resilient and creative in your teaching approach.
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Able to motivate and re‑engage learners who may have experienced barriers to education.

What You'll Need

  • Proven teaching/tutoring experience.
  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN/additional needs.
  • Experience delivering KS4 curriculum content.
  • Strong differentiation and behaviour management skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Ability to travel to Saffron Walden and surrounding areas.
