Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Goods In Warehouse Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to materials management, receiving goods, inspecting and storing incoming stock and materials, moving stock to relevant departments. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Manage materials handling, including loading and unloading goods from lorries.
- Utilise a warehouse management system for tracking inventory and orders.
- Participate in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Maintain an organised stock area by stocking shelves and managing inventory levels.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure that all items meet company standards.
- Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Assist in general warehouse maintenance to keep the work environment clean and safe.
Requirements
- Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable.
