EM Law is a modern, commercial law firm operating out of the White Collar Factory, Shoreditch. We have an excellent team of lawyers and we are a Band 1 recommended law firm in Chambers and Partners for the work we do for SMEs.
We are seeking an organised, detail-oriented and intellectually strong Paralegal for a full-time, on-site role in Shoreditch, London. You will help with a variety of tasks including:
- Contract drafting
- Reviewing documents
- Liaising with clients both over the phone and in meetings
- Research
- Blogging
- Client onboarding including AML compliance checks
- Networking
You will be sharing an office with our director, Neil, our associate lawyer, Colin and our office manager, Ebru.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Must be based in London
- Excellent academics, intellect and drive
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent interpersonal skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Proactive problem-solver with strong organisational and time-management skills
- You will be great at forming relationships and you will have a friendly and confident personality – able to hold your own whether in a board meeting or in the pub.
We will train you on contract law/drafting, data protection, technology, AI and other areas of commercial law and you will be fully supervised. If you already have experience in data protection law / technology law / commercial law this will be an advantage but it is not essential for your application.
If you are interviewed we may ask you to take verbal reasoning and personality tests.
