Elysium Training provides alternative provision for young people with significant barriers to learning, all of whom have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). We specialise in supporting learners with SEND, primarily those with SEMH needs, offering KS4 intervention and a post-16 curriculum. Our programmes combine construction-based vocational pathways with Preparing for Adulthood and employability skills, delivered through a trauma-informed, relational approach.

About the Role
We are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to join our specialist team. The successful candidate will:
- Provide individual and small-group support to learners with SEND, EHCPs and SEMH needs
- Support learners to access learning, develop confidence and achieve positive outcomes
- Promote inclusion, independence and participation across academic and vocational learning environments
- Work alongside tutors, instructors and pastoral staff to implement personalised support strategies
- Support learners to develop literacy, numeracy, communication and employability skills
- Encourage resilience, emotional regulation and positive behaviour through a relational approach
- Assist in maintaining safe, calm and purposeful learning environments
- Contribute to Preparing for Adulthood outcomes and learner progression pathways
- Work collaboratively within a trauma-informed, relational framework

Experience within alternative provision, FE or specialist SEND settings is desirable but not essential. A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, experience supporting learners with EHCPs, and knowledge of trauma-informed practice would be advantageous.
