With a formal Family Therapist qualification, you know one or two things about delivering great healthcare. From a friendly face to providing professional support, you will join Emerald Place, where you will feel valued and supported. Working 37.5 hours a week, you will work alongside the dedicated team at Emerald Place, a specialist CAMHS Eating Disorder service for children and young people aged 8-18 years. You will be responsible for delivering systemic family psychotherapy within the service, conducting assessments and interventions for admitted young people and their families/support systems. You will support staff development, participate in training, consultations, and staff support, and contribute systemic input into the multidisciplinary team. You will receive regular clinical and professional supervision and be supported in developing your clinical and leadership skills. You will join a proactive Therapies Team and have access to a network of CAMHS psychological therapists across Elysium Healthcare. There are excellent opportunities for professional development.
You should have experience managing a caseload, assessing service users with complex needs, supporting families, and delivering psychological treatments within CAMHS Eating Disorder services. All applications must have a formal Family Therapist qualification.
As a Systematic Family Therapist, you will be:
- Providing highly-skilled systemic interventions for families of young people with severe, complex, and persistent mental health, learning, or developmental issues.
- Conducting in-depth risk assessments and formulating crisis plans.
- Applying evidence-based systemic perspectives to risk management, care planning, and decision-making.
- Managing a complex caseload within a multidisciplinary team, facilitating groups such as carer support groups.
- Monitoring clinical progress through regular reviews.
- Engaging with young people with diverse mental health needs, leveraging your theoretical and practical knowledge.
- Supporting staff development through training, consultation, and reflective sessions.
- Contributing to service development within the Therapies Team and broader service.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A Masterβs or doctorate level Qualifying course in Systemic Psychotherapy accredited by the AFT.
- Registration with UKCP.
- Experience working with adolescents and their families with complex mental health needs in a CAMHS setting.
