Job Description
Join Thornford Park in Thatcham as a Maintenance Assistant where you will be part of creating a well- presented and safe environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society.\\n\\nAs a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the services facilities are fit for purpose, gardening and will regularly conduct audits to identify and repair any faults ensuring a safe environment for service users, staff and visitors.\\n\\nWorking alongside an established team, you will turn your hand to all maintenance-related tasks, liaising with contractors to support the upkeep of the service. \\n\\nYou’ll receive all necessary training to get you started and join the dedicated team, where you can make a positive difference and be part of changing lives for the better. There’s also a huge range of courses on offer to help grow and develop your career. If you have the aspiration, capability and dedication, Elysium Healthcare can give you the support and opportunities to help you achieve your career goals.\\n\\nAs a Maintenance Assistant you will have:\\n\\nAssisting with ensuring that the service, buildings, facilities and equipment requirements are maintained and fit for purpose.\\n\\nUtilising good DIY skills to ensure safety of service users is maintained.\\n\\nAssisting in regular checks and maintenance.\\n\\nAssisting in the repair and maintenance of all buildings.\\n\\nAssisting in all decorating.\\n\\nLiaising with a manager reporting all faults and defects.\\n\\nParticipating in a 1 week rotating on-call rota for the purposes of emergency maintenance.\\n\\nCoordinating and supporting contractors whilst on site and completing of all paperwork and tool checks.\\n\\nTo be successful in this role, you will:\\n\\nTo comply with system and procedures.\\n\\nHave previous experience within a maintenance role.\\n\\nTo work effectively as part of a team and independently.\\n\\nShow courtesy and respect to residents at all times to ensure that they enjoy the highest quality of service.\\n\\nAttend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.\\n\\nWhere you will be working: Thornford Park, Crookham Hill, Thatcham, Berkshire, RG19 8ET\\n\\nYou will work at Thornford Park which is a combination of medium secure and low secure units and rehabilitation flats. The service provides a seamless internal care pathway supporting and empowering patients in their recovery and rehabilitation.\\n\\nYou will work alongside the multidisciplinary to provide personalised assessment and treatment programmes for males with mental illness/ complex care needs as well as those with personality disorder.
