What you will be doing:

You will join an inclusive and supportive team that provides care to people with various mental health conditions, using your knowledge and skills to help individuals recover and lead valued, fulfilling lives.

Your daily tasks include ward rounds, analyzing behaviors and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene.

This environment can be challenging at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance are essential. It is also hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing you’ve made a difference in their lives.

The shift pattern involves 12.5-hour shifts, 3-4 days a week, including nights and weekends.

Where you will be working:

You will be based at Thornford Park, a 130-bed independent hospital supporting service users requiring medium and low secure Forensic Mental Health Services, as well as a PICU Mental Health Service.

The service offers a seamless care pathway supporting recovery and rehabilitation. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will provide personalized assessment and treatment for males with mental illness and complex needs, personality disorders, and females and males in a PICU setting.
