Forensic Associate Specialist

If so, join The Spinney in Greater Manchester as an Associate Specialist, where you will be providing comprehensive forensic service to patients across medium-to-low secure and locked rehabilitation. The Spinney hospital has been ranked as “Outstanding” by the CQC on two consecutive inspections in 2016 and 2018, and more recently was marked “Good” in 2022. You will be attached to and supervised by two Consultants, where you will be expected to assist in the day-to-day running of the unit and cover for Consultants during their absence. You will be primarily working with two of the five full-time experienced Consultants at the site, as well as a specialty doctor. As an Associate Specialist, you will ensure the high quality first-line medical care of our inpatients, liaising effectively with external professionals and carers, providing written and oral evidence for Hospital Managers’ and Tribunal hearings, work towards safe discharges, and be a valued and effective member of the multidisciplinary team at The Spinney.
