If you have an eye for detail and enjoy creating a safe and clean environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society, then join the team at Moorlands Neurological Centre as a Bank Housekeeper.

You will be an integral part of the staff bank at Moorlands Neurological Centre, a service for men and women over the age of 18 years, who have an acquired brain injury. You will be responsible for cleaning all areas of the service, including wards, office spaces, bedrooms and visitors area. Working closely with the maintenance team, you’ll ensure all areas of the service are spotless and confidently deliver high standard cleaning services.

As staff bank, enjoy the flexibility to choose shifts that align with your schedule at £12.85 per hour excluding a 12.07% pay uplift and enjoy weekly pay. You’ll receive all necessary training to get you started and join the dedicated team, where you can make a positive difference and be part of changing lives for the better.

As a Housekeeper you will be:

  • Maintaining required security standards of the hospital by following relevant policies and procedures as defined by the Hospital.
  • Being an active member of the team with a range of responsibility over the day-to-day operation.
  • Maintaining excellent telephone etiquette and ability to meet and greet visitors in a professional manner.
  • Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with all staff, visitors and service users.
  • Helping create a positive culture.
  • Undertaking any other tasks requested that are appropriate for the post.
  • Attending mandatory and statutory training on an annual basis as required by Elysium Healthcare.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have previous experience of cleaning within a similar environment.
  • Enjoy cleaning and get satisfaction from a job well done.
  • Prioritise duties and responsibilities effectively.
  • Be a good communicator.
  • Have good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
  • Be able to spot and resolve problems efficiently.

Where you will be working:

Location: Moorlands Neurological Centre, Lockwood Road, Cheadle, Staffordshire ST10 4QU. Moorlands Neurological Centre is being developed as a neurobehavioural hospital service for men and women over the age of 18 years, who have an acquired brain injury. The service will support and care for people who, because of their injury, have challenging and complex needs that are preventing them from making further progress with their lives and require a neurobehavioural rehabilitation programme.
