What you will be doing:

With experience from the NHS or private care, you will lead the nursing team, providing high-quality care and support to women diagnosed with emerging or personality disorders. You will support colleagues, promote teamwork, and ensure standards are maintained and improved.

As a Ward Manager, you will empower recovery, supervise staff, and work alongside the senior Nurse to manage the on-call service and ward budgets. You will lead by example, acting as a role model, leading care teams, and creating a positive learning environment that makes a difference and changes lives.

Other duties include:

  • Providing Clinical Leadership and expertise
  • Leading and guiding staff to support a unified service and engaged workforce
  • Ensuring high standards within the Clinical Governance framework
  • Supervising nursing staff effectively
  • Being an expert resource on nursing care within the specialism and participating in multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintaining a positive, collaborative environment to help staff reach their potential, ensuring high-quality care, staff welfare, and training
  • Taking charge of the ward as designated
Qualifications and experience:
  • A relevant nursing qualification
  • NMC registration
  • A positive, caring, and compassionate attitude
  • A commitment to high-quality, evidence-based practice
  • Relevant experience in a similar environment
  • Proven leadership skills

Where you will be working:

Location: New Rd, Rougham, Bury St Edmunds, Bury Saint Edmunds IP30 9LR

You will work at The Chimneys Clinic, a 12-bed service supporting women with emerging or personality disorders.

Working with the multidisciplinary team, you will promote mindful practice, high engagement, and creative activities to support recovery.

The service aims to help women reduce harmful behaviors, adopt effective strategies, and achieve personal goals.
