Overview

Join Badby Park in Daventry as a Maintenance Driver & Gardener where you will be part of creating a well-presented and safe environment for some of the most vulnerable people in society. As a Maintenance Driver & Gardener, you will be responsible for ensuring the services facilities are fit for purpose, driving staff and service users to local destinations, gardening and regularly conducting audits to identify and repair faults to ensure a safe environment for service users, staff and visitors. You will work alongside an established team and contribute to a range of maintenance tasks, liaising with contractors to support the upkeep of the service. You will receive training and join a dedicated team, with opportunities for career growth within Elysium Healthcare.

As a Maintenance Driver & Gardener you will have:

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with ensuring that the service, buildings, facilities and equipment requirements are maintained and fit for purpose
  • Utilising good DIY skills to ensure safety of service users is maintained
  • Assisting in regular checks and maintenance
  • Assisting in the repair and maintenance of all buildings
  • Assisting in all decorating
  • Liaising with a manager reporting all faults and defects
  • Participating in a 1 week retained on-call rota for the purposes of emergency maintenance
  • Coordinating and supporting contractors whilst on site and completing all paperwork and tool checks
  • To ensure vehicles are kept clean internally and externally
  • Monitor and report when vehicle maintenance is due
  • Hold a UK drivers license
  • Have previous experience within a maintenance role
  • To work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Show courtesy and respect to residents at all times to ensure that they enjoy the highest quality of service
  • Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings

You will be working alongside the clinical teams at Badby Park to care for people with neurological illnesses, acquired brain and spinal cord injuries, where you will deliver person-centred care where each individual is at the heart of everything you do.

This specialist inpatient neurological rehabilitation and complex care service boasts extensive facilities that cater for the specific needs of the residents. It is set in acres of countryside on the outskirts of Daventry. Badby Park is a grand manor house with views, facilities and a tranquil setting. Good road links make it easily commutable from Daventry, Rugby, Northampton and Banbury.
