What you will be doing
You will join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with neurological illnesses, acquired brain and spinal cord injuries. Your day‑to‑day will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene. It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you’ve made someone’s life better.
Where you will be working
Location: Lower East Street, Middlehaven, Middlesbrough, TS2 1SW. You will be working at The Bridge, a specialist inpatient neurological rehabilitation and complex care service. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team you will provide care and support for people with neurological illnesses, acquired brain and spinal cord injuries. As a care centre, this service is a home from home offering en‑suite accommodation and spacious communal areas with dedicated therapy spaces, where truly person‑centred care is delivered and where each individual is at the heart of everything.
