Overview
Working 40 hours a week, you will provide support to people who may be living with learning disabilities and autism needs. The general working pattern will be Monday – Friday, 9-5 or 8-4 and will involve covering nurse shifts for annual leave or training. You will work at Bradley Apartments, a specialist service for men and women living with complex needs who may have a primary diagnosis of learning disability, mental health issue or personality disorder. You will work as part of the multidisciplinary team to support people who display behaviours of concern and pose challenges for services, including those with highly complex and severe challenging behaviour. You will deputise for the Registered Manager when required and assist with the strategic development of the care home, abiding by and working towards Elysium\\\’s objectives and business plans.
Responsibilities
- Develop proactive, positive relationships with internal and external customers which leads to business development and quality care.
- Provide appropriate leadership, management and motivation of employees with active development of a pride in effectiveness and good teamwork.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and legislation requirements including financial, health and safety, clinical and all areas under corporate and clinical governance.
- Ensure compliance with Care Quality Commission (CQC).
- Contribute to and participate as an individual and as a representative of Bradley Apartments to the corporate development of Elysium Healthcare.
- Develop practices that enhance the performance of Bradley Apartments in line with company policy.
- Set annual objectives, targets to ensure activities are delivered on time and to an agreed standard; develop corrective actions when deficiencies arise.
- Set high personal and professional standards in line with the Company\\\’s code of conduct.
- Budget planning.
- Recruit, develop, motivate and retain high-quality staff at Bradley Apartments.
- Maintain an excellent reputation within the local area as a healthcare provider, employer and a valued integrated part of the local community.
- Support continued attainment of relevant external accreditation.
- Assist the Registered Manager in audit reports as per local and corporate policies.
- Oversee clinical and non-clinical services as requested.
Qualifications
- Nurse educated to degree level or associated relevant experience.
- Evidence of general management development preferably within the health care sector.
- Registered Nurse RMN/RNLD/RGN (with MH/LD/Autism experience).
- 3 years post qualification experience.
