Role Description
This full-time Conveyancer/Conveyancing Solicitor role is based in Birmingham and offered on a hybrid basis, allowing a mix of office-based and work-from-home arrangements. The role involves managing a caseload of residential and/or commercial property transactions from instruction through to completion, including drafting and reviewing contracts, conducting title checks, handling searches, and overseeing exchange and completion. The successful candidate will liaise with clients, lenders, estate agents, and other solicitors to ensure clear communication and timely progress of matters. Daily responsibilities include providing accurate legal advice on conveyancing issues, maintaining up-to-date file records, ensuring compliance with regulatory and firm policies, and contributing to a high standard of client care. The role may also involve supporting colleagues on related matters and participating in practice development activities when required.
Qualifications
- Strong grounding in Law with the ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation and regulations.
- Proven experience in Conveyancing, handling property transactions from initial instruction to post-completion.
- Knowledge of Commercial Real Estate to support or manage commercial property matters as needed.
- Awareness of Labor and Employment Law and Family Law to identify related issues and collaborate with specialist colleagues where appropriate.
- Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Legal Executive with appropriate professional accreditation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with clear, client-focused drafting and advice.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines.
- Comfort with hybrid working, including effective use of case management systems and digital tools.
- Commitment to ethical practice, client care, and ongoing professional development.
