We're hiring a Graduate DevSecOps Engineer to join our Engineering team in London. In this role, you will be building and operating the platform our systems rely on, and embedding security controls directly into how it's built and run. You'll design and ship infrastructure, automate its security, and own it end to end through to production and incident response. You'll work alongside engineering teams across Elwood and deal directly with external suppliers and auditors on security and compliance matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Support cloud infrastructure on GCP and AWS
- Improve and secure CI/CD pipelines
- Design and implement security controls as code
- Build and run continuous security monitoring
- Contribute to Developer Experience (DevEx) tooling and workflows
- Own vulnerability management
- Respond to security incidents
- Review architecture and design changes from both operational and a security perspective
- Produce and maintain evidence supporting audit and compliance controls
- Build platform capabilities, including but not limited to modules and reusable workflows
- Leverage AI infrastructure to support development, maintenance and operation of the platform
- Improve observability: metrics, logs, traces and use it to make capacity, performance, and reliability decisions
- Operate and evolve the SIEM
- Contribute to FinOps: cloud cost tracking, committed use and right-sizing
Qualifications / Knowledge
- Recent graduate in BSc/MSc in Computer science or computer engineering
- Passionate about software engineering and about delivering a quality product
- Good understanding of DevOps, SecOps and the intersection of both, and eagerness to progress in this area
- Solid grounding in cybersecurity fundamentals: identity, cryptography, network security, common attack patterns, and detection engineering
- Experience with Terraform, Helm, Kubernetes, and other automation tools
- Good understanding of Linux systems
- Collaborative, enthusiastic, and excellent communication skills
- Previous experience in a similar internship an advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A true interest in crypto/digital assets space
