Elwood Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a valued client - a specialist West Midlands provider with multiple services delivering high-quality care and support to children and young people with mental health needs, learning disabilities, complex needs, and emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).
About the Role
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the shift, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and staff support at all times.
- Providing strong, visible leadership and acting as a positive role model
- Leading shift planning, handovers, and daily routines
- Managing rotas and staffing levels to meet care and regulatory requirements
- Supervising, mentoring, and supporting Residential Children’s Workers
- Supporting care planning, record keeping, and medication administration where appropriate
- Building positive, trusting relationships with children and young people
- Ensuring safeguarding is always a top priority
- Providing on-call support when required
About You
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Proven experience working in residential children’s care
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- A full UK driving licence
- A flexible, resilient, and child-centred approach
- A genuine passion for making a difference and working towards shared goals
