We are recruiting on behalf of our valued client, a London specialist provider of care and support for Children and Young People aged 8 -17 years with emotional and behavioural difficulties, learning difficulties, and/or history of mental health problems.
As a Registered Manager, you will be required to cover two sites. You will play a key role in shaping positive outcomes for the children and young people in looked after care, while leading and supporting a dedicated staff team and being the driver of excellence.
To apply, you must:
- Must be Ofsted Registered
- Have proven experience in residential children’s care
- At least two years experience relevant to managing/leading a residential care within the last five years
- At least one year experience supervising and managing professional staff.
- Hold an NVQ/QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People’s Services/NVQ Level 4 in Health & Social Care specifically in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- The ability to deliver at least good rating in the home’s first Ofsted inspection or maintain an outstanding rating
- Be flexible, resilient, and passionate about making a difference and working towards company goals
Key Responsibilities:
As a Registered Manager, you will:
- Provide day-to-day leadership and act as a positive role model
- Manage referrals into the service from a variety of sources
- Ensure that high quality support and transition services are provided to young people, in line with the service specifications/placement plan required by the relevant local authorities.
- Facilitate the development of a range of children & young people inclusion opportunities and activities, improving outcomes for children and young people in care.
- Work closely with the Responsible Individual, Directors and other Managers to deliver the service.
- Provide on‑call support when required
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people
- Ensure safeguarding is always a top priority
