Are you a qualified Fire Risk Assessor who has completed your Level 3 qualification and gained some practical experience carrying out fire risk assessments? We are looking for Fire Risk Assessors to join a long-term UK utilities programme covering sites across Scotland's Central Belt. You will be carrying out assessments predominantly across lower-risk operational environments, with the backing of experienced Senior and Principal Fire Risk Assessors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out Fire Risk Assessments across commercial and operational sites
- Identifying fire hazards and evaluating risk
- Working in line with PAS 79 methodology
- Producing clear Fire Risk Assessment reports
- Creating practical, prioritised action plans
- Liaising with site managers, duty holders and contractors
- Working within established QA and validation processes
- Maintaining your CPD and developing your technical knowledge
- Travelling to sites across Scotland's Central Belt, with occasional overnight stays where required
Essential Requirements:
- Level 3 Fire Risk Assessment qualification
- Some hands-on experience carrying out Fire Risk Assessments
- Understanding of PAS 79
- Ability to produce clear and accurate FRA reports
- Full UK driving licence
- Comfortable travelling regularly across the Central Belt
You do not need to be a Senior or Principal Fire Risk Assessor. We are interested in people who have the qualification, understand the fundamentals and have enough practical experience to start carrying out assessments while continuing to develop.
What's in it for you?
- £30,000 - £45,000 salary, depending on experience
- Company car or car allowance
- Company pension
- Permanent, full-time employment
- Support from experienced Senior and Principal Assessors
- Further training and professional development
- Experience working within a major UK utilities programme
- Clear opportunity to build your FRA experience and progress
- Long-term, stable workload
This is a field-based position, so you will spend much of your working week visiting sites rather than sitting behind the same desk every day. If you are already carrying out Fire Risk Assessments and have your Level 3 qualification, send over your CV.
You do not need to tick every conceivable fire-safety box; we are looking for someone with the right foundation who is ready for the next step.
