We are supporting a specialist environmental engineering and compliance consultancy with the appointment of a Fire Risk Assessor / Fire Safety Consultant to support a major corporate and banking framework in Central London.
This role is suited to a hands-on fire safety professional with practical Fire Risk Assessment experience, strong technical knowledge and recognised fire safety qualifications. The client is open to candidates at different levels, from experienced Level 3 Fire Risk Assessors through to more senior Fire Safety Consultants, with salary aligned to experience and qualifications. This is not a general Health & Safety role. The focus is fire safety, fire risk assessment, technical compliance and practical fire safety consultancy within a high-profile corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct Fire Risk Assessments across occupied corporate and commercial buildings.
- Provide practical fire safety advice to clients, facilities teams, contractors and stakeholders.
- Support fire safety compliance against relevant legislation, guidance and best practice.
- Review fire safety arrangements, management procedures and building fire precautions.
- Identify hazards, assess risk and produce clear, practical action plans.
- Prepare high-quality Fire Risk Assessment reports and fire safety documentation.
- Support fire safety audits, inspections and compliance reviews.
- Advise on fire doors, compartmentation, means of escape, fire alarm systems, emergency lighting and general fire safety management.
- Liaise professionally with client stakeholders in a high-profile corporate environment.
- Support wider fire safety improvement activity across the framework.
- Hands-on Fire Risk Assessment experience.
- Experience working across commercial, corporate, retail, healthcare, residential or other occupied buildings.
- Strong understanding of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
- Ability to produce clear and defensible written reports.
- Good understanding of fire safety management, passive fire protection, fire doors, compartmentation and means of escape.
- Comfortable working onsite in Central London 5 days per week.
