The Opportunity: An established Fire Safety and Compliance Consultancy is looking to appoint a Trainee Fire Risk Assessor to support the delivery of Fire Risk Assessments across a diverse portfolio of properties throughout Scotland. This opportunity is ideal for someone who already holds a Level 3 Fire Safety or Fire Risk Assessment qualification and is looking to develop a long-term career within Fire Risk Assessment under the guidance of experienced consultants. The successful candidate will receive ongoing support, mentoring and exposure to a wide variety of buildings while building experience and progressing towards becoming an independent Fire Risk Assessor.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Fire Risk Assessments across residential, commercial and public sector buildings
  • Conduct site inspections and gather information required for Fire Risk Assessment reports
  • Identify fire hazards and areas of non-compliance
  • Support the production of Fire Risk Assessment reports and recommendations
  • Assist clients in understanding and implementing remedial actions
  • Develop knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, standards and guidance
  • Travel to client sites throughout Scotland as required
  • Work closely with senior consultants and Fire Risk Assessors to develop technical competence

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Fire Safety or Fire Risk Assessment qualification
  • Strong interest in developing a career within Fire Safety and Fire Risk Assessment
  • Good report writing and communication skills
  • Comfortable travelling to multiple client sites
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
