The Opportunity: We are supporting an established environmental consultancy and estate management provider in the appointment of a Principal Managing Agent / Estate Manager to oversee a portfolio of land and vacant property assets across the North West. This role sits within a specialist team responsible for ensuring land and property assets are safely managed, compliant and operationally maintained. The position combines estate management, contractor coordination and health & safety oversight across a geographically spread portfolio. It is a hands-on, operational role that requires regular site visits, stakeholder coordination, and the practical management of land and estate-related risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of land and vacant property assets across multiple regional sites
- Ensure health & safety compliance across estate environments
- Coordinate contractors and works programmes, including maintenance and improvement works
- Conduct site inspections and risk assessments
- Manage issues relating to vacant property, land use and estate management
- Act as a key liaison between consultants, contractors, clients and internal teams
- Ensure all estate activity is delivered in line with safety and compliance requirements
Candidate Profile:
This role would suit someone with experience in:
- Estate management
- Land and property management

- Environmental or landscape management
- Health & safety within estates or property environments
You should be comfortable managing multiple sites, contractors and stakeholders while maintaining strong compliance standards.
Essential Experience:
- Experience managing property, land or estate portfolios
- Strong working knowledge of health & safety legislation
- Experience managing contractors and site works
- Ability to manage multiple sites and stakeholders
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly
Desirable:
- NEBOSH, IOSH or similar H&S qualification
- Experience within environmental consultancy, estates or property sectors
- Experience managing vacant property portfolios
