We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Foundation Fire Risk Assessors to join the Property Compliance team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring fire safety compliance by conducting thorough Fire Risk Assessments in various low-risk premises. This position is ideal for individuals with a solid foundation in fire safety, looking to develop their expertise and contribute to a safer environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive Fire Risk Assessments in a variety of premise types across low-risk environments.
- Prepare and present suitable and sufficient Fire Risk Assessment reports that satisfy legal requirements with appropriate actions for clients.
- Provide technical fire safety advice to clients based on a thorough knowledge of UK Fire Safety Legislation.
- Work carefully and diligently by following fire safety legislation, guidance, and standards.
- Identify hazards and assess the potential risk of a fire while also identifying appropriate risk control measures.
- Keep up to date with changes in the Legislation and guidance to maintain your own competency.
- Record and maintain a record of continuous professional development.
- Work with others to develop, amend and implement fire safety plans.
- Take part in and proactively react to feedback from validators on the suitability and sufficiency of your Fire Risk Assessment activities.
Requirements
- The fire risk assessor must have a full clean driving license and access to their own vehicle.
- Assessors should be fully conversant with current fire safety legislation and technical standards.
- It is essential that you have completed a series of nationally recognised training courses of at least certificate level.
- Able to manage your own work activities with minimal supervision.

- NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate
- Fire Risk Assessment Training (Level 2 or 3)
- Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) Membership or Certification
- BAFE SP205 Certification (Fire Risk Assessors)
