Elvet Recruitment have been appointed to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading regional Civils & Groundworks contractor due to ongoing growth. From their modern & state of the art office in Wakefield, the successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will have flexibility with home working as well as spending time on site. The contractor has large growth plans for the next 2-3 years to increase turnover by over £30m. A part of the growth journey involves bringing in another Senior QS to supplement their strong commercial team and help mentor some of the more Junior QS's.

Projects will cover a variety of commercial, industrial, residential groundworks and mixed heavy civils packages, with project values up to £10m. A Senior QS will ideally be responsible for 2-3 projects at varying stages. The company offers a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor the opportunity to have responsibility for projects at all stages cradle to grave, ensuring that the measurement, valuation and cash flow on assigned projects are managed effectively.

Candidates should possess:

  • Experience as Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor, managing your own Civil Engineering projects
  • Experience within Groundworks and General Civils sector as Quantity Surveyor
  • Minimum of a relevant Degree, qualification or equivalent experience
  • Experience and deep understanding working with NEC contracts
  • Experience of Microsoft and office IT packages
