Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Technician with a strong eye for detail, looking to develop your career within a well-established and growing housebuilder? We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a respected housebuilder with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality new build homes across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis, covering the North East region. You will play a key role in ensuring new build homes are completed to the highest standards by carrying out a variety of remedial and maintenance works. You will be responsible for completing a wide range of finishing and remedial tasks across occupied and newly completed homes, ensuring every property meets the highest standards before and after handover. The successful candidate will be a practical, self-motivated individual with excellent attention to detail, strong multi-trade skills, and the ability to work independently while delivering exceptional customer service.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Completing outstanding remedial and maintenance works across new build homes to a high-quality standard, ensuring Health & Safety remains the number one priority
- Carrying out repairs in line with NHBC standards and company quality expectations
- Undertaking a variety of multi-skilled tasks including joinery, plastering, filling, mastic application, painting, and general finishing works
- Ensuring all relevant paperwork and job records are completed accurately and within agreed timescales
- Maintaining company van stock and ensuring all tools and materials are available to complete works efficiently
- Keeping the company van clean, well-maintained, and organised at all times
- Acting as a professional ambassador for the business, delivering excellent customer service when working within customers' homes
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician, Multi-Skilled Technician, Finishing Technician, or similar role within the construction or housebuilding sector
- Proven experience carrying out joinery, plastering, filling, mastic, painting, and general maintenance works
- Strong understanding of NHBC standards and quality expectations within new build housing
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and work independently
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
- Excellent customer service and communication skills with a professional and approachable manner
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable using mobile technology to manage jobs and complete paperwork
- Full UK Driving Licence
