Elvet Recruitment are recruiting a Site Manager on behalf of an established main construction contractor to be involved in a major project in Newcastle. Applicants will need to show a track record of excellent management and communication skills with the ability to proactively manage construction projects, including direct labour and sub-contractor resource and the ability to deliver quality construction projects within budget and programme timescales in a safe environment. This company works as principal contractor on projects including: commercial builds, industrial builds, residential, healthcare, education etc. This is an opportunity to be involved in a scheme of 100m+.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage site team and supply chain to deliver projects to quality targets and deadlines.
  • Produce construction phase plans and programming works.
  • Co-ordination of various sub-contractors and direct delivery teams.
  • Progress reports and meetings with senior management and clients.
  • Ordering materials for site and managing supply chain.
  • Daily site diaries 10m+.
  • Ability to manage project costs and on the ground delivery at all stages.

Qualifications:

  • CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid are essential.
  • Degree or HNC/HND qualified is beneficial.
