Elvet Recruitment are recruiting a Civils Sub-Agent on behalf of a large regional civil engineering contractor to work on site near Scunthorpe. This large main contractor has been established over 50 years and has developed a strong name in Yorkshire, having undergone significant regional growth in recent years. They now need a Sub Agent to bolster the team to oversee daily site activities with heavy involvement with permitting, utilities, stats, sub-contractor management etc.

Project: £5m public realm / highways project. (Further work planned - 2.5 years of current longevity with more to come). All work is regional and they aim to keep staff within 1 hour of home. No work outside of Yorkshire, Humberside or North East Lincolnshire.

Duties/Responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to works methodologies, site documentation and permits
  • Working with council client regularly
  • STATS / utilities coordination
  • Contribute to programme development
  • Support setting out control
  • Management of sub-contractors
  • Assist Site Agent and Project Manager

Experience required:

  • Must have experience as Section Engineer, Senior Engineer or Sub-Agent on civil engineering projects: highways & public realm or similar
  • Must have experience working as main contractor on projects £2m+
  • Industry related qualification ideally (HNC/HND or Degree)
  • Must hold: CSCS, SSSTS / SMSTS, TWC / TWS and full UK driving license

Remuneration: A salary of up to £56,000 (dependant upon experience) plus: Company vehicle or allowance, 28 days annual leave, increased pension, personal & business fuel expenses, discretionary bonus and much more!
