Elvet Recruitment are working alongside a local business, currently on the lookout for a Building Surveyor to join their team. Ideally someone AssocRIC or MCIOB qualified will fit in perfectly with the company.

Main Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Building surveys on Residential and commercial buildings
  • Stock Condition, Defect Analysis and Damp Surveys
  • Producing drawings using AutoCAD
  • Prepare planning applications and schedules of work/specifications
  • Ensure compliance to the Building Regulations as well as sustainable design and low carbon technology
  • Assist in the diagnosis of defects and quality control on sites

Requirements:

  • BSc in Building Surveying (HNC with experience would also be considered)
  • Social Housing
  • Private residential RICS Level 2 and 3 surveys
  • Party Wall experience
  • Design / Specification / Contract Administration experience in connection with social housing / residential.
  • Ideally 3 years post degree experience.
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Revit experience
  • Full UK Driving License and transport
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate with both staff and clients
  • Be carrying out, or prepared to carry out, chartership to RICS

Remuneration: Depending on the experience of the successful candidate, salaries for the position can vary from £30,000 to £50,000. The business are highly flexible on their working arrangements, working a 35 hour week Monday to Friday (circa 4.5 days). This is a permanent position and Elvet Recruitment Limited will be acting as an employment agency for permanent recruitment on behalf of our client.
