Elvet Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a leading UK housebuilder to recruit a Regional Finance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to play a key role in supporting the financial performance, reporting accuracy, and operational success of a regional business unit based in County Durham.

With continued growth and strong regional performance, they are seeking a proactive and detail-focused finance professional who can provide robust financial support, commercial insight, and effective collaboration across operational teams.

As Regional Finance Manager, you will work closely with the Regional Head of Finance and Regional Management Team, supporting the delivery of accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and operational finance activities. This is a highly visible role offering excellent exposure across the business and clear long-term progression opportunities within a supportive and commercially driven environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting the production and delivery of accurate monthly management accounts for the Region
  • Ensuring compliance with Group accounting policies, financial controls, and reporting standards
  • Providing detailed financial analysis and commentary to support monthly reporting processes
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities across the Region
  • Assisting with overhead cost management, analysis, and financial performance tracking
  • Supporting regional cashflow forecasting, reporting, and financial monitoring activities
  • Maintaining strong balance sheet control and understanding of regional site performance and WIP
  • Identifying and improving data accuracy and financial reporting integrity across the Region
  • Building strong relationships with operational teams to understand and support business performance
  • Working collaboratively with Commercial, Construction, Sales, and Land teams across the business
  • Supporting the Regional Head of Finance with operational finance tasks and project work
  • Providing cover and day-to-day support for the Regional Head of Finance when required
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and more efficient ways of working

What We’re Looking For:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Previous experience within housebuilding, construction, property, or a similar commercial environment
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of management reporting processes
  • Excellent Excel skills with strong analytical and financial modelling capability
  • Experience with COINS and/or Anaplan would be advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and financial integrity
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across operational teams
  • Commercially aware with the ability to challenge and support stakeholders effectively
  • Collaborative and proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
  • Professional, motivated, and highly organised approach to work

Role Information:

  • Salary up to £65,000 DOE
