Elvet Recruitment are currently on the lookout for a QA/QC Engineer for a regional civil engineering firm working on a large-scale project in the North East. The role would be ideal for someone who has previously worked as a Senior Engineer/Sub Agent for a Main Contractor.
Responsibilities
- Oversee quality assurance and control on site, ensuring all work complies with specifications, regulations, and company procedures.
- Conduct inspections, monitor testing, manage documentation, and work closely with site teams to maintain high standards.
- Implement and maintain Quality Management Plans (QMPs) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Conduct site inspections and monitor testing of materials, concrete, drainage, and earthworks.
- Identify non-conformances and support corrective actions.
- Maintain QA/QC records, reports, and documentation.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors on quality matters.
Requirements
- HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience in QA/QC in civil engineering or groundworks.
- Knowledge of construction standards and testing procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- CSCS card.
Remuneration
A rate up to £400pd (DOE) CIS/Ltd Company.
