Elvet Recruitment are on the lookout for a Design/Proposals Engineer to work for a global business with a UK Office based in Durham. The company are a designer/manufacturer of electrical products used in Data Centre and Industrial projects across 130 countries. Their head office and manufacturing facility is based out of Istanbul with further locations including: Germany, France, UAE, Australia and USA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical analysis of requirements
  • Development of technical proposals
  • Creation of project documents (drawings/datasheets)
  • Offer preparation in SAP (with support from MD)
  • Drafting supporting documentation

Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering or a scientific discipline and/or previous experience in a similar role.

Required Skills

  • Ability to critically analyze technical and commercial documentation
  • Experience in drafting offers in SAP
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English; a second language is a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and main IT tools; experience with SAP systems is a plus

Fundamental Knowledge

  • Understanding of design fundamentals
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and electrical engineering principles
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD

Additional Knowledge

  • Experience with Revit and Autocad
  • Strong critical analysis, attention to detail, and precision
  • Proactive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and meet deadlines
  • Strong teamwork skills

Remuneration

On offer for the role is a salary up to £35,000 alongside paid training as well as the opportunity to travel abroad to see the projects in person.
