Elvet recruitment are seeking a confident, self-sufficient Site Manager who can contribute to the running of a major education project for a main contractor, maintaining programme, safety and quality over a tight 3-month period.
The Role
- Oversee day-to-day site operations on a live education project in the Newcastle area.
- Manage subcontractors, coordinate trades, and maintain progress against programme.
- Ensure full compliance with HSE, RAMS, permits, inductions and daily briefings.
- Maintain site records, reporting, quality checks and snagging management.
- Liaise with the Project Manager, client representatives and design team.
- Uphold site standards, welfare, logistics and safe working practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager for a main contractor.
- Strong background in new build, refurbishment or education-sector works.
- SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), First Aid.
- Ability to manage fast-paced programmes and multiple subcontractors.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Available immediately or at short notice.
