Elvet Recruitment are recruiting a Fabrication and Structures Manager on behalf of a successful multi‑disciplinary business in the North East. This opportunity will present a brilliant career path to a candidate who is willing to head‑up and grow a division within a highly rated business. Holding full accountability for operations across the office, workshop, and site‑based installations, managing an annual turnover of approximately £2.5m, with project values ranging from £5k to £500k. You will also play a key role in delivering growth plans aligned with wider Group and departmental objectives. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a senior leadership role offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on the continued success and development of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Structures department to deliver profitable growth
- Drive business development opportunities and maintain strong client relationships
- Oversee estimating, design, commercial performance, production, and site delivery
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Manage departmental budgets, performance, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Promote effective teamwork and collaboration across all areas of the business
What We're Looking For
- Proven leadership experience within steel fabrication or a similar construction/manufacturing environment
- Strong commercial awareness with a track record of delivering profitable projects
- Excellent understanding of QEMS procedures and best practice
- Working knowledge of IP06 and EN1090 Execution Class 2 requirements
- A proactive, solutions‑focused approach with strong communication skills
- Commitment to continuous improvement, training, and safe working practices
Remuneration
