Elvet Recruitment are recruiting an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer on behalf of a tier one Civil Engineering & Construction main contractor to work on Water Treatment Works upgrade schemes around Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire & Midlands. The projects range from £10m to £30m+ and are all being delivered as part of Severn Trent AMP 7&8 meaning likelihood of a steady flow of work until 2030. The projects involve a great deal of Mechanical & Electrical components on large scale alongside the Civils work hence the need for a dedicated Mechanical team. Mechanical works include: pumping stations, dosing systems, chlorination plants, above ground pipework & pumps etc. One of the largest names in infrastructure with industry-leading training schemes and unmatched career opportunities on offer… Duties/Responsibilities include: * Working with project deliver team to oversee delivery of Mechanical aspects on site * ECI works (Early Contractor Involvement) * Ordering materials * Involvement with commissioning process alongside Commissioning Engineers & Managers * Produce & review H&S documentation including RAMS and PMP’s * Liaison with design team to develop best solutions * Prepare sub-contractor orders & assist with submission & evaluation of claims for work variations Experience required: * Must have experience working in relevant field as Mechanical Project Engineer or Mechanical Design Engineer with some site exposure. * Ideally have Water industry experience – Water Treatment Works etc. * Industry related qualification is beneficial (HNC/HND or Degree). * Must hold: CSCS, SSSTS/SMSTS and full driving license. Remuneration: A salary of up to £65,000 (dependant upon experience) plus: car allowance, generous annual leave scheme, 7.5% pension, fuel scheme, healthcare and other benefits
