Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for a Freelance Civil Site Engineer on behalf of a reputable civil engineering / groundworks contractor to work on a new upcoming project near Knottingley. The contractor is delivering a £10m infrastructure / civils package for new build steel frame commercial sheds. Work includes: foundations, slabs, bolt boxes, s278, s38, drainage, roads & sewers, paving, kerbing etc. Ongoing work for 12 months plus possible further phases. The Engineer will be picking this project up from the very outset.

Duties:

  • Setting out - using relevant kit
  • Checking of work completed on site
  • As-builts & surveys
  • QA
  • Supervising gangs and workforce
  • Assisting Site Manager
  • Updating documentation for site

Experience required:

  • Must have proven experience as Site Engineer within groundworks / civils
  • Must be confident with both setting out and QA
  • Must have experience with kit: Leica Total Station 16 Robotics (or similar)
  • Industry related qualification is beneficial (HNC/HND or Degree)
  • Must hold: CSCS card and full driving license

Pay: A rate of up to £350 per day (doe). Can be paid CIS. Or Ltd outside IR-35 providing contractors meet requirements. Elvet Recruitment has an IR-35 partner who provide checks and IR-35 insurance packages. This is a temporary position and Elvet Recruitment Limited will be acting as an employment agency for temporary recruitment on behalf of our client.
