Elvet Recruitment are recruiting a Senior Site Engineer on behalf of a leading construction contractor in the East Midlands. The ideal candidate will have 5 or more years in residential build.
Key Responsibilities:
- Construction Drawings: Read, interpret, and communicate construction drawings, layouts, and material measurements clearly on site.
- Setting Out & Surveying: Provide accurate setting out, including lines, levels, and reference points, ensuring compliance with design specifications.
- Programme Management: Work to the agreed site programme and influence progress to ensure deadlines are achieved.
- Site Coordination: Coordinate subcontractors, materials, and sequencing of works to support smooth and efficient delivery.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate site records, ITPs, as-built drawings, and environmental compliance documentation.
- Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality: Work collaboratively with the site team to ensure all SHEQ standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Team Development & Relationships: Support and guide junior team members while building strong working relationships with subcontractors and project partners.
- Continued Professional Development: Actively develop industry knowledge and share best practice with line managers and relevant team members.
- Policies & Procedures: Adhere to the Integrated Management System (IMS), including all relevant policies and procedures.
- Other Duties: Undertake any additional tasks appropriate to the role.
Must haves:
- Third-level qualification in Construction Engineering & Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Site Engineer on residential projects, ideally with exposure to commercial builds.
- Full, valid driving licence.
- SMSTS, CSCS.
