Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Civils Construction Manager on behalf of a large civil engineering main contractor to assist in the delivery of a new flagship £50m project near Ashby, Leicestershire. The contractor are a well-known brand name & part of an esteemed contractor group, operating internationally and delivering a variety of major civil engineering solutions. This role is working for a regional business unit who uphold the highest standards & structured tier 1 processes. They have a cohesive team who all share a passion & interest for their work. They\’re an infrastructure & highways specialist focusing on highways construction / infrastructure rather than maintenance packages. Over the past few decades they have successfully delivered countless projects across North of England up to £50m value. Project: A brand new scheme, mobilizing fully in August and running for 2 years. £50m road improvement for a local authority client. Consisting of 9 junction improvements, new roundabouts, road widening, drainage, structures and all associated general civils. Further work across Midlands area is expected as this contractor have built repeat business relationships with local authorities in the region & are on several key infrastructure frameworks. Duties/Responsibilities include: * Management of site team to ensure smooth daily delivery * Assist Contracts Manager * Construction Phase Plans & programme updates * Contractual changes * Coordination of sub-contractors * Issuing early warnings / compensation events * Communicating with commercial team to control budgets & track costs * Checking & creating documentation for site * Attend progress meetings with client & senior management Experience required: * Must have proven experience at Senior Agent / Construction Manager / Project Manager level with main contractor on civil engineering projects (values £10m+) * Experience managing highways projects as PC * Experience with NEC 3 or NEC 4 is essential * Industry related qualification is beneficial (HNC/HND or Degree) * Must hold: SMSTS, CSCS and Full Driver\’s License * Temporary Works tickets are beneficial Remuneration: A salary of up to £66,000 (doe) + generous package… Car or allowance, 7% pension, generous annual leave, share purchase scheme, healthcare, life assurance, discounts, fuel & more.
