Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Civil or Structural Engineer on behalf of a sizeable consultancy based in Hull to further aid their Bridges team's capabilities. This reputable consultancy specialise in Civil Engineering & Structural Engineering, with dedicated teams covering structures, bridges, marine, rail, conservation, cost consultancy and project management. They've been running for over 30 years and pride themselves on a 'client-first' attitude delivering constantly high standards of service and winning repeat business across the board from this. They deliver a lot of local projects that make a real difference to the community infrastructure network.
This role is working within the Bridge team, 15 strong including CAD Technicians and varying levels of Designers and Managers. From inspections and assessments to new structure design, you could be involved in every stage of the process, gaining exposure to a wide variety of bridge and civil engineering work.

Key Duties:
- Work with existing and new bridges and civil / marine structures across a range of materials and forms, superstructure, substructure and articulation elements
- Participate in the early project stages, including scoping, site inspection and investigative works, optioneering and scheme design
- Undertake and manage detailed design work, including modelling, calculations and drawing production
- Bridge inspections and monitoring to Local Authority requirements
- Inspection and assessment of wharfs, jetties and marine structures
Experience Required:
- Must have experience as Civil / Structural / Bridge Engineer working on bridge related schemes involved with design, calculations & inspections
- Ideally have knowledge around masonry, concrete and steel from a structures / bridge perspective
Remuneration:
On offer is a salary of up to £45,000 (dependant upon experience) plus package including 5% matched pension, fuel expenses, 25 days + stat leave, tech purchase schemes, flexible working and more.
