Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor on behalf of an extremely well established house builder, who have a track record of developing the careers of their commercial team.

Our client are looking for a passionate and dynamic Graduate as they continue growing the business throughout the UK.

Ideally you will have obtained BSc or MSc in a Quantity Surveying degree, a great team spirit, good communication skills and bags of motivation and enthusiasm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commercial reporting of projects within the region including benchmarking, land viabilities, tender recommendations, WIP, cash flows, valuations, final accounts and VIM process.
  • Tendering and procurement of sub contracts in accordance with the programme for each site.
  • Monitoring and evaluation of Contractor performance and take any appropriate action.
  • Management of subcontractors involved in the commercial function.
  • Ensuring accurate commercial reporting of Joint Venture schemes.
  • Ensuring awareness of continuing product development in light of changes in legislation i.e. building regulations etc.
  • Attending pre-start meetings, design meetings and any other relevant meeting as required.
  • Undertaking regular site visits.
  • Any other duties as required by the Commercial lead.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent is essential.
