Elvet Recruitment are currently on the lookout for a QA/QC Engineer for a regional civil engineering firm working on a large-scale project in the North East. The role would be ideal for someone who has previously worked as a Senior Engineer/Sub Agent for a Main Contractor. The QA/QC Engineer will oversee quality assurance and control on site, ensuring all work complies with specifications, regulations, and company procedures. You will conduct inspections, monitor testing, manage documentation, and work closely with site teams to maintain high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain Quality Management Plans (QMPs) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Conduct site inspections and monitor testing of materials, concrete, drainage, and earthworks.
- Identify non-conformances and support corrective actions.
- Maintain QA/QC records, reports, and documentation.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors on quality matters.
Requirements:
- HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience in QA/QC in civil engineering or groundworks.
- Knowledge of construction standards and testing procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- CSCS card.
Remuneration: A rate up to £400pd (DOE) CIS/Ltd Company.
