Elvet Recruitment are recruiting a Lifecycle Co-ordinator on behalf of an established Facilities Management provider in the North East. This is a long-term contract with up to two years of work. The Lifecycle Co‑ordinator will administratively support the delivery of the long‑term lifecycle programme within a healthcare estate, ensuring that building fabric, M&E systems, and critical infrastructure are renewed in line with contractual, statutory, and clinical requirements. Working closely with the Lifecycle Project Manager, Estates teams, contractors, and clinical stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and track lifecycle works across a live healthcare environment. Assisting with lifecycle projects from issue to completion.
To meet the demands of production, profitability, safety, quality, and to assist with the management of contractors to ensure that pre-set targets in terms of health and safety, scope, quality, and production are met. To ensure that designs and specifications are adhered to. To promote a harmonious working relationship between the project team and the client’s representatives. To ensure that our Projects are presented to the highest standards at all times.
DUTIES:
- Liaise with the customer, clients, contractors and design team.
- Work closely with the Lifecycle Project Manager, Contract Manager and team of engineering managers on site.
- Assist in the development of works programmes and monitor progress as they progress.
- Develop or assess Method Statements and Risk Assessments together with the Health & Safety Plan and observe the requirement of the CDM Regulations in the status of Principal Contractor.
- Provide leadership and support to contractors onsite to ensure they are adhering to company & standard forms of practice.
- Assist in the Compilation of site folders by obtaining necessary pre-con information & construction phase plans.
- Day to day planning of operations and problem solving.
- Liaise closely with external consultants including CDM coordinator on matters relating to enabling works.
- Comply with the requirements of the company’s Quality Procedure and Manual.
- Attend meetings as required at the site and area offices.
- Assist in sub-contractor meetings.
- Assist the PM in the preparation of reports for site meeting with design team and attend same.
- Answer correspondence relative to the project as directed by your superior.
- Report contractual risk situations to your superior.
- Supervise the quality of the works and hand over a snag free building.
- All other duties as assigned to effectively carry out your role.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to communicate with employees and direct labour.
- Ability to convey necessary information to sub-contractors and clients.
- Awareness of current Safety, Health & Environmental legislation, and quality standards.
- Experience of Document Control, Scheduling, Permit Co-ordination.
- Proven ability and demonstration of successful projects.
- Technically competent with sound construction knowledge.
- Good understanding of the construction process and awareness of the administration of construction contracts.
- Commercially and contractually aware.
- Diligent, conscientious, problem solving and supportive attitude.
- IT literate.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
