Elvet Recruitment are on the lookout for a Design/Proposals Engineer to work for a global business with a UK Office based in Durham. The company are a designer/manufacturer of electrical products used in Data Centre and Industrial projects across 130 countries. Their head office and manufacturing facility is based out of Istanbul with further locations including: Germany, France, UAE, Australia and USA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical analysis of requirements
- Development of technical proposals
- Creation of project documents (drawings/datasheets)
- Offer preparation in SAP (with support from MD)
- Drafting supporting documentation
Requirements:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering or a scientific discipline and/or previous experience in a similar role.
Required Skills:
- Ability to critically analyze technical and commercial documentation
- Experience in drafting offers in SAP
- Proficiency in written and spoken English; a second language is a plus
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and main IT tools; experience with SAP systems is a plus
Fundamental Knowledge:
- Understanding of design fundamentals
- Knowledge of electrical systems and electrical engineering principles
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
Additional Knowledge:
- Experience with Revit and Autocad
- Strong critical analysis, attention to detail, and precision
- Proactive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and meet deadlines
- Strong teamwork skills
Remuneration:
On offer for the role is a salary up to £35,000 alongside paid training as well as the opportunity to travel abroad to see the projects in person. This is a permanent position and Elvet Recruitment Limited will be acting as an employment agency for permanent recruitment on behalf of our client.
