Elvet Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Document Controller on behalf of a well-established civil engineering contractor to support the delivery of a major civil engineering scheme based in the North East.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading contractor on a flagship project, working within a fast-paced construction environment.
Initially offered as a 12-month contract, this role will see you supporting the project team by ensuring all project documentation is accurately managed, controlled and distributed throughout the project lifecycle.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage and maintain all project documentation using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and Aconex.
- Upload, issue, distribute and archive project drawings and documentation, ensuring revision control is maintained.
- Coordinate documentation between site teams, subcontractors, consultants and the client.
- Ensure all documentation complies with project procedures and document control standards.
- Monitor incoming and outgoing documentation, maintaining accurate registers and records.
- Support project teams with document retrieval and system queries.
- Assist with project handover documentation and final project close-out.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy across all project information.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Document Controller within the construction industry.
- Experience using Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and/or Aconex.
- Strong understanding of document control procedures and revision management.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
- Able to prioritise workload and work effectively within a busy project environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Role Information
- 12-month contract
- Start date: Mid-August
- Based on a major Data Centre project in Blyth
- Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
- Rate: Approximately Β£18 per hour (or equivalent salary may be considered)
