Cost & Bonus Surveyor

Elvet Recruitment has been appointed to recruit for a Cost & Bonus Surveyor to join a well established housing developer, covering their sites across the Tyne & Wear and surrounding areas. This role plays a critical part in the financial and operational performance of our construction sites, with a specific focus on labour cost tracking, bonus scheme administration, and subcontractor payments and could be suited to an existing Cost & Bonus Surveyor, or equally, a Quantity Surveyor or Assistant QS looking to learn a new position. Key Responsibilities * Compile and maintain bonus targets for Bricklayers, Joiners, and Painters, including adjustments due to changes in build processes or specifications. * Evaluate claims submitted against bonus targets, including the assessment of daywork claims from Labour-Only Subcontractor Bricklayers and Joiners, and certify payments accordingly. * Assess daywork claims from Direct Labour Joiners and Painters, and calculate bonus payments to be included in weekly wages. * Record and monitor weekly build costs based on site production data. * Report weekly site labour hours and bonus payments for payroll processing. * Review subcontractor payment applications and issue payment certifications in line with project progress and contractual terms. Qualifications and Experience: * Background in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, or similar construction-related discipline. * Strong understanding of labour-only subcontracting and bonus schemes. * Proficiency in construction cost tracking and reporting. * Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. * Experience in the residential housing sector is preferred.
