Elvet Recruitment are assisting a 5* housebuilder in the region in their search for an Assistant Site Manager.
The role supports the Operations team and the Site Manager, ensuring the project keeps in line with budgets, programme, quality and health & safety.
Main Responsibilities
- Help run a building site so homes are finished on time, to the right standard and in line with health and safety rules.
- Carry out and support quality and safety checks in line with company and group standards.
- Deal with outside organisations such as warranty providers, councils and utility companies to keep the build programme moving.
- Keep site records up to date, including inductions, health and safety logs, timesheets, accident reports and quality checklists.
- Make sure materials are ordered on time and stored correctly when they arrive on site.
- Supervise site workers and subcontractors to ensure work is completed on time, to the required quality and within budget.
- Work closely with teams such as Sales and Customer Care to keep plot progress on track and deal with customer issues quickly.
- Make sure everyone on site follows health, safety and environmental rules to reduce risks and accidents.
Experience and Requirements
- Experience working in the housebuilding or construction industry.
- Knowledge of NHBC, LABC or Premier building standards.
- A good understanding of health, safety and environmental rules.
- A valid CSCS card.
- SMSTS qualification is an advantage.
- A full UK driving licence.
- NVQ Level 4 in Construction Site Supervision is preferred, but training can be provided.
Remuneration
A salary of up to £50,000 (dependant upon experience) + Car/Allowance + Package.
