Elvet Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Administrator on behalf of a well-established and highly respected specialist consultancy based in the North East. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and professional business operating across the construction, property, and infrastructure sectors, supporting a wide range of projects throughout the region and beyond.
This is a varied and fast-paced role where you’ll play a key part in supporting the wider team with day-to-day operations, client communication, project administration, and business support duties. The successful candidate will thrive in a busy office environment, be highly organised, and take pride in delivering a professional and efficient service at all times. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Providing day-to-day administrative support across the business
- Preparing and maintaining project files and documentation
- Drafting letters and issuing correspondence to clients
- Recording incoming post, distributing to relevant team members, and tracking responses
- Scanning and electronically filing documents in line with company procedures
- Maintaining and organising the company’s electronic filing systems
- Assisting with meeting coordination, minute taking, and preparation of reports
- Acting as the first point of contact for telephone and client enquiries
- Managing appointments, diaries, and scheduling meetings on behalf of the wider team
- Issuing and recording job tickets in line with company systems and procedures
- Ensuring appointments and project schedules are maintained effectively
- Issuing documentation, quotations, and invoices to clients
- Updating and maintaining the internal CRM/CMS systems
- Supporting with general bookkeeping and tracking orders and invoices
- Collecting timesheets and inputting data into internal monitoring systems
- Assisting in maintaining ISO systems and company compliance documentation
- Supporting the wider team with additional administration duties as required
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous administration experience within a busy office environment
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Confident communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively
- Professional and approachable manner
- Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Experience within construction, property, engineering, or professional services would be advantageous but not essential
Role Information:
- Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 DOE
