Workshop Technician Contract: Permanent Hours: 40 hours basic per week plus overtime Salary: Competitive Location: Based at the Elveden Estate We’re part of the Elveden Estate which consists of 22,500 acres including farming, woods, conservation, game, a Courtyard with shops and a restaurant, The Elveden Inn, The Guinness Arms along with a number of properties. Would you like to join our farms department as part of the farms operational team? We are looking for a technician to join our established workshop to do the following: * Preparation, installation and handover of machinery, plant and equipment and the verification of its performance to the manufacturer’s specification and user needs. * Diagnosis and repair of faults in machinery, plant and equipment. * Conducting repairs of machinery, equipment, and their components. * Conducting inspections of machines and the compilation of machinery condition reports. * Compilation of repair estimates and the implementation of timely and cost-effective repairs. * Comply with health and safety requirements and safe practices within the workshop and beyond. We would like someone who is happy to work independently and with other team members. The ideal applicant will have a good grounding in mechanical engineering, and a minimum of two years’ workshop experience. Higher level welding qualifications and use of hydraulic and pneumatic applications are desirable.
