About our client:

Our client is a government advisory firm working with government organisations and their leaders, including centre-of-government entities, ministries, authorities, agencies and state-owned enterprises, to develop and deliver programmes that successfully promote their global interests. They are seeking experienced government experts to lead projects that integrate strategic communications skills with capacity building and public policy, as well as international relations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading the planning, which includes regular travel to clients in the MENA region to provide an integrated, high-quality solution to the client needs.
  • Winning the trust of the principal client and providing them with insight and strategic advisory.
  • Ensuring team members understand the mission, are clear about their role, deliver high-quality work and generally perform to standard.
  • Ensuring delivery on the agreed scope of work, identifying opportunities for further work and convincing clients of the need to engage the organisation for that additional work.
  • Working with the wider team to generate leads, develop proposals and deliver pitches.

Experience:

  • At least 10 years’ experience in strategic communications, government relations or geopolitical communications.
  • Experience within an agency/consultancy is essential.
  • Experience of key organisational and human resource functions such as: recruitment, training and development, forming and building teams, establishing new ways of working, leadership development, systems and process design, policy development, etc.
  • Experience of client relationship building, relationship management and presenting to senior stakeholders.
